Adventure Vacation

The Dominican Republic in the heart of the Caribbean, occupying two thirds of the island of Hispaniola.
Discovered by Columbus in 1942, it has become the largest tourist destination for North Americans.

A combination of enchanting history, breathtaking mountains, spectacular beaches and azure waters, and the seductive beat of the Merengue makes this island and it's friendly population a singles vacation paradise. It has a diverse selection of activities, which include, golf, snorkeling, scuba, horseback riding, jeep and 4 wheel tours, sailing, white water rafting, casinos, dancing and dining.

The island north coast offers fabulous beaches, outdoor recreation activities, fine dining, casinos, and championship golf courses. The Robert Trent Jones in the Playa Dorada complex and the Playa Grande course are two of the best. The Playa Grande course has been compared to the Pebble Beach course for its beauty and challenging layout.

The Latin Culture.

In Canada and the States young boys in their early teens are practicing their moves for sports but here in the Dominican Republic they are practicing dancing moves.

Both Dominican men and Dominican women are fantastic dancers.

The fact that they love to dance combined with the cultural difference in that they, both men and women, don't mind and actually prefer an older partner makes for a singles vacation paradise.

HARBOR VIEW CONDOS

This “Anoeca Development” is located above downtown Puerto Plata with a breath taking view from Cofresi to the Playa Dorada complex. It's just 3 miles from the Playa Dorada complex, with shopping, golf, casinos & nightlife.

A lot of living in the Dominican Republic takes place outdoors, and you’ll find that Anoeca Condos are designed to help you enjoy your surroundings to the fullest. Extras include a pool, an outdoor gas grill with green space and plenty of landscaped sitting areas. It also has back-up electricity, under ground parking with security and English speaking management.

These luxury condos are ideal for people who wish to experience the local culture of a destination and meet some of the offbeat expatriate crowd who live on the island.

Safety

The hotels tell the tourists that it is not safe to go outside the hotel complex in the nighttime and only with the tours provided in the daytime.

This is not so!!!

As for safety, it has been my experience, it is entirely safe. There have been occasions where a single men or woman have had a Dominican make a pass at them (love that Latin culture) or a motor taxi driver has taken a customer for a few extra pesos.
These incidents are very few in numbers, and violent crime is much less than back in downtown Toronto.

Dominican Experience.

Most people come unprepared to discover the real Dominican Republic because most have booked an all-inclusive resort vacation and their mindset is that everything is already paid for.

And while the resorts include the meals, beverages with beach and poolside games, it seems a shame to travel this far and then stay stuck in the resort just because meals and beach volleyball are free.

The unseen opportunity here is that for a few hundred extra dollars you can turn a bargain resort vacation into a world class travel experience.

Another way to look at it is that for the price of a short hop to the Caribbean, you can have the kind of adventures that some people spend big bucks and travel halfway around the world to experience.
